*Previous proposals suggested a minimum EPC Band C by 2027 and Band B by 2030, but these have not yet been legislated. The Conservative government paused its original plans, and while timelines remain uncertain, there is industry consensus that stricter MEES regulations are inevitable – likely targeting EPC Band B. The current EPC Reform consultation closes on 26 February 2025 and further clarity on MEES policy is expected soon.
